Marley/Havana Twists

I plan on switching up my hair style tomorrow!!

I’d like to have a new style before I go back to school in a couple of weeks, and I’ll keep in this style until after my cruise is over. :)

The style is called Marley twists (or Havanna, I call them Marley because that’s the type of hair I use). Marley/Havana twists are basically two-strand twists with hair extensions.  Marley/Havana twists haven’t become that popular where I live (or at least I haven’t seen many women with the style- only 1 to be exact lol), but I still like them nevertheless! I had some last year and everyone loved it. Most people thought they were dreads though lol.

Marley is the type of hair extensions used for the style, and it can be purchased at your local beauty supply stores.
$4.99/pack

Havanna is also the name of the hair extension, but I believe (correct me if I’m wrong) can only be purchased online here: FingerComber.com.
Price: 12.99/pack

There are plenty of tutorials that teach you how to install these twists yourself, and so that’s the route I plan on going again.
Here are some different ones for those who may be interested in trying it out themselves. It’s very easy!

I’ll share pics of how it comes out, laterrrr!! :3

I hope you guys like it. The wig I decided to wear last minute. I wanted to try something different. It was my first time ever wearing it outside of my home hahaha. Everyone seemed to like it though, so that’s good. Personally, I prooooobably won’t be wearing it again any time soon. :P

Well, until next time! Laterrrr~!

Natural Pinup Hairstyle + Tutorial

DSCF463b

Hello hello hello!

Today I went for a different hairstyle. It’s a hairstyle inspired by pinup girls that ladies with naturally kinky or curly hair can do!! And let me tell you, it was a complete hit. I wore it to school and everyone loved it! I got a lot of compliments and a couple of guys even asked me out (I kid you not, it was pretty annoying lol. -_-)

I really like this look a lot and plan to do it more often. I’ve actually done it once before on Thanksgiving last year, I didn’t take any photos that day unfortunately.

It’s not really HARD to do this hairstyle, but… it may take a little practice. Just getting the rolls perfect can get frustrating. Mine aren’t perfect, but I was happy enough with it. I think the longer your hair is the better you’ll be able to pull this style off. Make sure that you stretch your hair with a blow-out, twist-out, or braid-out before attempting (just makes it easier in my opinion).

Here is the tutorial, created by a beauty known as, “ThePinupNoire”, on Youtube

If you attempt, I’d love to see photos~!
